V. Incident Report: Biological Contamination Event #65-992x
1. Preliminary Containment Breach Sequence
At around 03:14 hours we had a breach involving Sub-Subject E-953-B. This was a weaponized sickness derived from SCP-953 tissue samples. Containment failed because of a massive power outage in Sector-G. Sgt. Waldenstein and Security Response Team Lambda-4 went down to establish a physical lock on the doors. While he was trying to manually close the main blast door a small crack in the glass window broke open. That released a heavy spray of the bio-organic vapor straight into the front room.
The base went into automated lockdown right then and the security doors sealed. This left Sgt. Waldenstein locked inside the contaminated room with the active anomaly.
2. Physical Transformation Logs (Mitotic Progression)
The vapor acted as a fast-acting mutagen that carried SCP-953 DNA. Well mixing an anomalous sickness with standard human biology sure led to an interesting turn of events. Analysis of the audio logs and internal cameras over the 14 hours he was locked in there captured how his body changed.
- T+02h 15m: The subject reported severe nerve pain and his bones were aching constantly. Scans later showed that his tailbone was starting to restructure itself.
- T+05h 40m: His lower spine got noticeably longer. The skin broke open as a new tailbone pushed through. It quickly grew muscles and the thick white-tipped fur that you normally see on SCP-953. This tail grew to a total length of roughly 65 centimeters.
- T+08h 12m: Then the changes to his head started. He suffered some bad internal skull fractures because his normal human ears were shrinking. The ear cartilage just died off and his body completely absorbed it. After that phase there were no traces left of his original ears.
- T+11h 30m: Two furry animal ears started developing on the top of his head. They grew right through his skin and hair. These new ears were fully mobile and he could hear high-frequency noises with them.
- T+14h 00m: The transformation finally stopped and his core vitals stabilized. Usually when people are attacked by SCP-953 they suffer a lot of cellular damage. In this case his body just naturally synthesized the new fox parts through rapid cell division caused by the trauma.

Even with the severe pain of the transformation Sgt. Waldenstein kept his full mental capacity. He is still completely loyal to the Foundation. He did not show any of the homicidal urges that usually happen with SCP-953. Hence I guess the anomalous traits infused within him after the transformation did not affect his brain chemistry. The doctors tested him afterward and confirmed that the new parts are fully wired into his nervous system and skeleton. They gave him a targeted Class-A amnestic so he would not remember the pain of the transformation and to prevent phantom limb syndrome. Sgt. Waldenstein was cleared to return to active duty with some modified physical rules. The staff running the site instructed everyone to just ignore his new structural changes during normal security operations.
